I had a cat called
Maria, she was a black and white moggie who lived for about 16 years. She was
known by the whole feline neighbourhood. She gave birth to a whole town of
cats, I cannot remember how many litters she had but I can assure you that she
gave birth at least once a year. She was very fond of my dog, a huge dog called
Tobby. They were together all the time and at one stage she even gave birth
right next to him in his wee house because she felt so comfortable in his
presence. They loved each other. It was an impossible love affair between a cat
and a dog. Tobby had to be put to sleep when he reached the age of 15 years
old. One year later, Maria died, she missed him terribly and she preferred to
meet him in the after life. Pretty tragic, but hey, love affairs between a cat
and huge dog aren't that common!
