Whilst walking my two dogs they disappeared off the pathway. Hearing them barking frantically in the distance and refusing to come when called, I followed the noise to where they had found a puppy, abandoned. All 4 feet had been tied together and the rope, which was secured to a tree, had cut into her legs so badly she couldn’t even stand. The mess surrounding her told me she had been there for a few days. All this was about 100yds from the path, she wasn't meant to be found. Sobbing like a kid, I got her loose and took her home to clean her up. We named her Liana. My vet reckoned she wouldn't have lasted another night outside. He believed her to be a deerhound lurcher cross. This meant she would grow to be quite large (she was only 3-4 mths at the time). As you can imagine, she was nervous, scared, and would run away and hide under bushes when let off the lead. Together we worked hard and spent lots of time together (my other two dogs helped bring her out of her shell too!). She now has a very happy home being spoiled with the other two and they have their own sofa in the living room to relax. From Kevin.
